Thermoplastic spacers play an important role in improving the durability and energy efficiency of insulating glass units (IGUs). Made from flexible thermoplastic material, Thermo Plastic Spacer TPS® achieves high seal tightness and enhanced insulation without extra sealants. Compared to traditional spacers like aluminum, stainless steel, and warm-edge systems, TPS® has lower thermal conductivity, which reduces heat bridges and condensation at the glass edge.
Long-term tests and studies show that TPS® has exceptional resistance to material fatigue and seal failure caused by temperature changes and weather conditions. The flexibility of TPS® also helps absorbing thermal stresses, which increases the lifespan of IGUs. This presentation will discuss the advantages of TPS® in terms of durability
