GPD Finland 2025 Attendee Registration

 

Information, terms & conditions, and privacy statement

These terms and conditions govern the sale of tickets for the GPD 2025. By purchasing a ticket and registering as a GPD 2025 participant, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

Registration Fees for Participants

  • The category and amount of registration fees are indicated on the registration platform.

The registration fee includes:

  • admission to GPD sessions scheduled June 10 –12, 2025 for the selected admission date(s)
  • conference material
  • lunches and teas/coffees on conference days
  • admission to the following networking and social activities e.g., Get together party and Farewell party (limited food and drink catering included).

The registration fee does not cover flights to and from Finland, travel within Finland, insurance, hotel accommodation, or any other participant costs. Travel insurance is recommended by the organizers.

 

Terms of payment

All fees + VAT should be paid in advance in Euros. Cheques and cash will NOT be accepted.

 

Method of payment

Accepted payment methods are credit card or invoice. The method of payment is selected at the registration stage.

  • Credit card: Visa, Visa Electron, Eurocard, American Express and Mastercard are accepted. Please follow the payment instructions available on the registration site. Once your payment has been received, a confirmation will be sent to you for your records.
  • Payment Service Provider Paytrail Plc acts as a collecting payment service provider and is an authorized Payment Institution. Paytrail Plc will be shown as the recipient on your bank or credit card statement. Paytrail Plc will forward the payment to the merchant. For reclamations, please contact the website the payment was made to.

  • Finnish VAT (25.5%) will be automatically added to all invoices and payments in accordance with Finnish tax legislation.
  • The applicable service fees for the selected payment method are indicated in the registration form and will be added to the final amount
  • NOTE! If you have selected invoice as the payment method, please note that the GPD admission ticket will only be valid and confirmed after full payment of the applicable registration fee. Please observe the due date of the invoice and make the payment accordingly. The registration will be cancelled automatically, in case the invoice is not paid is a timely manner.

 

Cancellation terms

The registration fee is non-refundable.  In the event of severe illness preventing the participation, the participant is requested to contact the conference organization in writing to agree on the possible refund.

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the program, tours, accommodation options and/or limit the participation if necessary. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any such changes. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the GPD 2025 event at any time. In such cases, a full refund will be provided for the admission ticket price, but the organizer will not be liable for any further compensation.

 

Materials, Marketing and Promotion

The organizer has the right to use photos and videos taken during the event publicly for different marketing and promotion purposes e.g., glass industry magazines, GPD website etc. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should inform the organizer in advance. The organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, but cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all recordings.

All materials presented at the GPD, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and digital content, are the intellectual property of the respective authors. Participants are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or use these materials without the prior written consent of the author.

 

Accommodation

The participants should reserve and pay their own accommodation. The organizer has negotiated a special discounted rate for the conference attendees in some hotels in Tampere. The hotels are listed on the GPD website (www.gpd.fi). There will be a limited number of the reserved rooms which are allocated on a first come first served basis. Room reservations should be done directly to the hotel by the attendee. Please ensure that you book accommodation early.

The selected hotel will confirm the room reservation to the attendee. Attendees will make payment directly to the hotel.

Liability

The Conference Organization acts as an agent only in securing hotels, transport and travel services and shall in no event be liable for acts or omissions in the event of injury, damage, loss, accident, delay and irregularity of any kind whatsoever during any arrangements organized through contractors or the employees of such contractors in carrying out services. Hotel and transportation services are subject to the terms and conditions under which they are offered to the public in general. The Conference Organization reserves the right to make changes where deemed necessary, without prior notice to parties concerned. All disputes are subject to Finnish laws.

The Conference Organization shall not be liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property that may occur during the GPD conference, except where such injury, loss, or damage is caused by the Conference Organization’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. The Conference Organization shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The Conference Organization ‘s total liability for any claims arising out of or in connection with the conference shall be limited to the amount paid by the participant for the registration fee.

Participants are responsible for their own belongings and are advised to take out appropriate insurance to cover any loss or damage. The Conference Organization shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, or other labor disputes, natural disasters, or any other events of force majeure.

 

GPD Data Privacy Statement

By registering for GPD conference, you allow GPD to collect your personal data for appropriate registration and notification purposes related to the Conference and other activities related to GPD. Personal data that is collected in connection with registration generally consists of contact and personal details such as name, address, e-mail address and/or telephone number. GPD will not sell your personal information to any third parties.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. We process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Statement and applicable laws including European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. Our aim is to produce cost efficient and easy to use registration and services in connection with the conference, therefore your personal data may also be used and shared also to third party service providers to fulfill the specific purpose in question.

We may also use personal data for marketing purposes, in which case submitted personal data will be stored in client mailing database in order to send you information about GPD activities. You may at any time unsubscribe from receiving such information about GPD activities by email. We will generally only keep your personal information for as long as is reasonably required for the purposes for which it was submitted. In furtherance of the foregoing, your data will be deleted or made anonymous in a reasonable time after you have unsubscribed from receiving information about GPD activities by email, unless we are under a legal obligation to retain your data.
