Advanced instruction on vacuum insulated glazing


The Vacuum Insulated Glazing (VIG) technology is of great interest in providing for the future requirements of highly insulating. I would like to run an advanced workshop that will discuss topics such as, the results of thermal and wind load testing, framing issues, production costing, service lifetime, advanced testing relative to standards, etc. I would also like to run this workshop interactively providing the participants with a computer package to look at individuals requirements in the VIG design and production.

Cenk Kocer, University of Sydney 

Dr Cenk Kocer is a materials researcher with over 20 years experienece, working at the University of Sydney. His focus area is the research and development of the Vacuum Insulated Glazing (VIG) technology. He has been working with industry partners in the development of novel design and processing. He also has engaged the community and works torwards pasing on a greater understanding of the place of the VIG future building design for energy efficiency.
